Pastoral Council

Purpose:
Offers counsel to the pastor on matters affecting the pastoral life
and ministry of the parish.

If you have an idea or issue that you would like to present
to the Pastoral Council, submit your item to the Pastoral Council.
The Pastoral Council meets on a monthly basis.

Following is information to help you discern whether joining
the Pastoral Council
is the volunteer
service for you.

ACTIVITIES/FUNCTIONS
·
Inventory of the needs of the parish
·
Discern gifts, skills or ministry of the parish to put into
service.
·
Implementing a realistic pastoral plan that is life-giving to
the parish |

MEETING FREQUENCY/TIME/PLACE
The
Council meets the
Second Wednesday of each month.
Time Commitment:
Council Members commitment on average of 3-5 hours per month, during
a three year term

TASKS/SKILLS
·
Provide a witness to the parish
community
·
Coordinate parish activities to best
serve the people of the parish
·
Asses with the pastor the spiritual and material situation of the
parish
community present & future.

PREREQUISITES
A practicing catholic in good standing with the church I.A.W.
