FAITH FORMATION |
CHILDREN'S FAITH FORMATION (PK3-6th grade)
Our curriculum is a lectionary based program that integrates
catechesis with the life of the larger faith community-whole community
catechesis. Children in all grades hear or read the Sunday gospel
every week. This program builds on that foundation by providing the
children with a comprehensive instruction in Catholic doctrine, the
sacraments, the commandments of the old and new law and prayer- which
cover the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
Profession of Faith, Celebration of the Christian Mystery, Life in
Christ and Christian Prayer.

ACTS CORE
Meet: 1st Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm
An ACTS retreat is a three day and three night Catholic lay
retreat presented by fellow parishioners. Talks and activities
conducted during the weekend give retreatants a better understanding
of the significance and importance of prayer, liturgy, the sacraments,
scripture, community and service. Retreatants are also given guidance
to help them in their faith journey... It is powerful community
building experience... The ACTS weekend brings the retreatants to a
better understanding of God's love for them, and also develops their
need to share that love with others through their involvement in
faith-centered parish community. They return to their parish with a
deeper love for each other and a desire to become more involved in
their parish faith community. Dale Denais at 257-1489 |

MARRIAGE PREPARATION
Provides assistance for couples to grow to a full awareness
of who they are and who they are called to become in marriage. The
comprehensive preparation program for all couples seeking entry into
sacramental matrimony was developed in accordance with Archdiocesan
guidelines. The program includes an introduction
to sacramental marriage, an evaluation of readiness for marriage and
four or more counseling sessions with a well-prepared, lay sponsor
couple. The counseling sessions address all aspects of the marital
relationship guiding the couple toward a more complete understanding
of the Church’s teachings about the marital bond and family life.
|
NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING
God’s vision for marriage is
that couples be united in flesh and spirit and that this union be
“fruitful.” The Church recognizes that there are times when a couple
might be called to postpone pregnancy and other times when a couple
might have difficulty achieving pregnancy. Natural Family Planning (NFP)
uses the natural signs of a couples’ fertility to help them achieve
or postpone pregnancy in accordance with the teachings of the
Church. NFP is not contraception. It respects the God-given cycle
of fertility of every married couple and celebrates the gifts of
love and life embodied in the marital embrace.
